MLB季後賽》布萊德利以往不擅打火球，清壘二壘安讓紅襪逆轉扳平戰局
美聯冠軍系列賽今天持續在芬威球場進行第二場比賽，在波士頓紅襪與休士頓太空人先發投手都不穩定的情況下，紅襪3局下靠著布萊德利（Jackie Bradley Jr）兩人出局滿壘時敲出的二壘安打，一次送回壘上所有跑者，幫助紅襪超前比數，最終紅襪以7-5擊退太空人，系列賽以1-1戰成平手，若是翻開紀錄來看，布萊德利以往對於打火球是不太擅長。
這場比賽紅襪先在1局下半打出3支安打攻下兩分，但太空人不甘示弱，第2、3局各拿下兩分，包含岡薩雷茲（Marwin Gonzalez）的兩分砲，太空人取得4-2的領先，但紅襪在3局下掀起猛攻，在1人出局的情況下柏格茨（Xander Bogaerts）、皮爾斯（Steve Pearce）分別從柯爾（Gerrit Cole）手中敲出安打攻占二、三壘，之後面對狄佛斯（Rafael Devers）投出保送形成滿壘，雖然下一棒的金斯勒（Ian Kinsler）被三振，但布萊德利逮中柯爾97英哩的直球質及綠色怪物，讓壘上跑者全部回到本壘，紅襪取得5-4反超。(見下圖)
紅襪布萊德利於3局下兩人出局滿壘，與1好2壞球數領先下，將97.8英哩火球敲出二壘安清光壘包，紅襪逆轉取得5-4領先是紅襪扳回一城關鍵一擊。(截圖自大聯盟官網)
紅襪布萊德利這一擊非常關鍵，而對小布來說也格具意義，從以往小布處理98英哩以上火球不太理想來看，這一棒不僅擊沈對手，也掃平了紀錄上的陰霾，布萊德利以往51打數最後一球都被98英哩以上火球解決，51打數裡只有兩次將火球掃成安打，季後賽雙方對戰紀錄掌握之細不用懷疑，太空人教練團想必也是參考這些數據，要柯爾火球連發試圖解決小布，只是沒想到第二戰這個打數這一球，結果如此之不同，讓紅襪不至於帶著兩敗前往客場休士頓。(見下影音)

今天雖然紅襪先發投手普萊斯（David Price）只投了4.2局就退場休息，但他今天終止了只要自己季後賽先發球隊就會輸球的10連敗，加上今天紅襪牛棚稍微回穩，接替普萊斯投球任務的4名牛棚投手只有終結者金布雷爾（Craig Kimbrel）在9局上被圖維（Jose Altuve）敲出陽春炮失掉1分，雖然牛棚看似回穩，但紅襪仍必須注意金布雷爾的近況，今天比賽結束後，金布雷爾季後賽的防禦率是9.00。
這場比賽的先發投手普萊斯與柯爾分別是2007年、2011年的選秀狀元，這是大聯盟歷史上第一次兩隊在季後賽都派出選秀狀元登板。
系列賽第三戰將移師休士頓舉行，已經先從波士頓偷到1勝的太空人，是必要好好把握接下來接下來的主場3連戰，第三戰將在（台灣時間）後天早上5點開打，紅襪將派出伊瓦迪（Nathan Eovaldi）對上凱戈（Dallas Keuchel）。
